# Withdrawing funds

You can withdraw funds out of Helios back to an external destination.

## How to withdraw

1. Go to **Withdraw** from your wallet.
2. Choose what you're withdrawing and enter the amount.
3. Enter the destination address.
4. Review the details — including the **fee** and the **net amount you'll receive** — then confirm. The app guides you through the rest.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Withdrawals go to the address you enter and generally **cannot be reversed**. Check it twice.
{% endhint %}

## Fees

A fee is deducted from a withdrawal. Before you confirm, the app shows you the fee and the **net amount** that will arrive, so there are no surprises.

## Before you withdraw

If you have an **open credit line**, the collateral backing it is committed while you owe a balance. You'll need to repay (or keep enough collateral) before you can withdraw the assets backing the loan. See [How the credit line works](/credit-line-and-borrowing/how-it-works.md).

## Frequently asked

### Why can't I withdraw the full amount?

If part of your assets is committed as collateral for a credit line, that part is locked until you repay. See [Repaying your balance](/credit-line-and-borrowing/repaying.md).

### How long does a withdrawal take?

Withdrawals need to finish processing on the network before they complete. The app shows the status — see [Pending & processing transactions](/help-and-troubleshooting/pending-transactions.md).

### What's the fee?

The fee is shown on the withdraw screen before you confirm, along with the net amount you'll receive.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.helioscard.xyz/your-wallet/withdrawing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
